Thanks Sports Hydrant for giving me the opportunity to expand my professional and sporting networks. The opportunity to both coach and umpire the Parliamentary Netball team has been one that I have really appreciated. The tempering of politics with sport has been an outstanding success. The conduct of ‘hearing impaired netball’ was visionary – I learnt that those of us who can hear often do not listen yet those who are hearing impaired are more attuned to what is going on around them.
I have had the privilege of attending the sports advocacy dinners for 2011 and 2012 and look forward to 2013. These dinners have been inspirational, well put together and thought provoking. Well done for the launch of An Olympic Story: Too Tough to Lose at this year’s dinner.
